dns config query

hi list,

i have recently failed to get a cascaded router configuration to work,

so i removed the second router and am now just using the att provided

router (arris bgw210700).

Worse, I made erroneous assumptions and managed to shoot myself in the foot.

I am revisiting earlier provided dns  setup and run into the following issue.

I get as far as whois and things appear to fall apart...

host linuxlighthouse.com
linuxlighthouse.com has address 108.220.213.121

host 108.220.213.121
121.213.220.108.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer unknown5065f34aece5.attlocal.net.

whois linuxlighthouse.com

systemctl systemctl status named
Unit named.service could not be found.

so i am not running named and it looks to me like whois networksolutions is confused.

what is the wisdom on this list as to how to proceed?
