I'd thought nm -a was supposed to list all of them.
As noted in another post, man nm lied to me.
nm needed -D .
BTW I did eventually realize that libmpfr.so.6 is a soft link to the other.
Did you see Samuel Sieb's message? He pointed you to the issue.
As noted in another post, it did not make sense to me.
