I found a few in /var/cache/PackageKit/<fedora release> but not a
lot. I doubt they're kept long.
Looking at /etc/PackageKit/PackageKit.conf it has #KeepCache=false
and differs to a more general configuration implying that the default
is KeepCache=True. Don't find anything in /var/cache/PackageKit/
except the files for the repos.
"differs"? Did you mean "defers"? There is no more general
configuration. What do you think is implying that the default is
true? Usually, the commented config options *are* the default ones.
Really, The text of PackageKit.conf would be interpreted differently.
# Keep the packages after they have been downloaded
#KeepCache=false
You're misunderstanding it. The option "KeepCache" is to determine
whether or not to "Keep the packages after they have been downloaded".
The default value is "false", so it won't do that.
