Hi! Thanks a lot, it did not cross my mind to check the debug output of dnf.. it turned out that these machines had a specific gateway (a vm which was turned off) so the outgoing access was disabled (and i could access these a being in the same network) and i seen this from the fact that curl had timeout when trying mirrors.fedoraproject.org Thanks a lot!
