Probably because the server configuration was modified. Robert reported:

The default setting is 'Y' (in which case idmap is disabled for NFSv4
with sec=sys).
If idmapping is enabled for NFSv4 with sec=sys, then there are several
ways to match domains, and one of them needs to be used.
