Hi guys.
I'm trying still not squared away Centos 9 firewalld and since closest
to it is Fedora, here is a natural place to ask I thought -
'forward-port' if you use it for 'localhost', like here:
port=80:proto=tcp:toport=81:toaddr=127.0.0.1
does it work on Fedora, out-of-box?
It used to, if I remember correctly, but now it seems (again, Centos
9) that such 'forward-port' is blocked, meaning destination
127.0.0.1:81 is not reachable.
perhaps I did remember incorrectly, hmm..
quick fix is, in my case:
-> $ sysctl net.ipv4.conf.virgincable.route_localnet=1
but is it the best fix? hmm..
thanks, L
