Fedora 32, updated at EOL, FWIW. I have a Perl script which I use to manage thumb drives. In particular, it supports mounting without an entry in /etc/fstab. My problem is that mount forbids a normal user to mount using a UUID, so the script runs as root. Is there a way to mount using the UUID (a) without running as root and (b) without a fstab entry? Thanks. _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam on the list, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure
