But the update doesn't check for that. So, you may end up with a system with a broken GUI desktop. In my case, I was able to get the login screen sometimes, but it would hang with the 495 driver. I reverted to the 470 driver and all is fine. FWIW, the nouveau driver also causes hangs with my GPU. I'd buy a new version of GPU but nVidia is hard to find at the moment.
Forgot to mention.
