Is there any trick to speeding up and xrdp server?
I can watch the pages paint. Windows machines
on the same network with RDP server set up are
twice a fast. AND THAT IS NOT RIGHT!
Sorry, I misread that. You're *serving* rdp from your Linux computer. I
wasn't expecting that and remmina isn't going to help. I suspect that
with windows, rdp is better integrated into the display system. It
might also be able to use better compression methods, but that shouldn't
make much difference on a local network. What about trying vnc instead?
I have experimented with vnc server and it drove me
around the bend.
You will notice on the xrdp.ini I posted that
the vnc section had to be commented out and
replaced with xorg.
Now I will go off topic a bit. The best VNC client
for Linux I have found is the Windows version of
Ultra VNC running under Wine. But please no advice
on VNC. Please just stick to the question I asked.
I really ONLY want advice on the question I posted.
I just remembered two setting commented out
in the ini file:
tcp_send_buffer_bytes=32768
tcp_recv_buffer_bytes=32768
I wounder is doubling or quadrupling them would help?
