Zero of my customers will use Libre Office because

Yet, my experience of Office gives me exactly the opposite response.
I think it has to do with what you know and what
your capacity for learning is. Ever have a
secretary jump up in your face and tell "I DON'T
WANT TO LEARN ANYTHING NEW!!" after her boss
tells you to install new software?
Having used and supported multiple word processors,
I do have to say that LO is just awkward. Ever try
to mix portrait and landscape pages in a document?
You can but oh hold cow! Ever merge cells in a
table and then try to undo the merge? Ever
try to print an envelope? (All won't fix unless you
pay us bugs, by the way.)
For those that are just to fixed on M$O's keystrokes
but hate LO and don't want to pay for M$O, I install FreeOffice
(TextMaker). It has fewer features than LO,
but also fewer bugs and the keystrokes more closely
match M$O.
I personally still use Word Pro under Wine.
It has division tab and does great envelopes.
Plus its tables work really well. It is very
user friendly. It is now a free download (Smart
Suite.)
When I write manual and HowTo's for customers, I
will usually do it in odt format. I have been
known to go back and forth between FreeOffice
and LO whilst doing it. FreeOffice allows for
easy mixibg of portrait and landscape together;
LO does great tables of contents
After M$O 2003, I have not cared for M$O.
