If I install a program on my machine that is normally started by
clicking on a desktop icon, I expect that to be done as part of the
installation; I don't expect to have to play games to get it there.
Checking, every one of the icons on my desktop except for shortcuts to
folders is put there by a file in /home/Desktop.
