If you're using Gnome, you should be able to edit it in the settings.
If not, then the easiest method is probably to directly edit the file.
Otherwise, you could try using nm-connection-editor which is quite nice.
I did end up using nm-connection-editor.
It ended up updating the legacy initscripts ifcfg files, on its own.
That's how NetworkManager works. Any changes get made to wherever the
connection is configured.
