Couple of things. The mounts would happen even if no VM's are active. I don't think
it would matter the type of mount. My issue occurred based on the paths defined in
the storage pools. A quick way to eliminate that as an issue would be to
mask the libvirtd service. Disabling doesn't "enough". I did that to verify my conclusion.
FWIW, I only just did that as I had to wait for a long job in a VM to complete.
So, at least in my case, it is good to know the cause even though I won't make the
effort and make adjustments.
