Have you tried using Ctrl+Alt+F2 to get to a text console
and logging in there? If that works, try this to see if
your display manager is working:
ps aux | grep gdm | grep -v grep
If you're not using Gnome, substitute whatever dm you're
using. I'll leave the reason for the second grep as an
exercise for the reader.
I "suffered" the same problem a while ago and even asked
about it here on the list, then updates came, I think it was
f33 back then, and problem "got" fixed. Couple of months
later and it haunts again, this time in latest f34 updates.
Gee, it really seems like that "fantastic" Lenovo which some
Fedora devels prize, of which I have been a customer too and
for a while - quite few different ThinkPads - but know I
begin to seriously consider a vow - Lenovo? even again and
way! away from.
