Now, the disabling of selinux is only temporary. But, you should be

automatically do a relable
which may take a bit of time depending on the size of your filesystems.
The only difference the selinux=0 made was to stop the SELinux alerts,
as you predicted.
Rebooting to re-enable SELinux....
