So, does your backup process work when called from crontab entry?
Yes, it does, and that's part of what confused me. However -- and this is rather embarrassing -- the real problem was a missing environment variable in the script when the process was run as a systemd unit. I thought the log entry "systemd-inhibit[19767]: read: Connection reset by peer" was some sort of dbus problem reported by systemd-inhibit, but that text is really stderr from the script.
All sorted out and working as expected now. _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam on the list, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure
