Just a heads up. I couldn't wait so I bought it. Fedora 33 runs great on it.

I bought a 32GB memory stick and 2 2TB M.2 SSD drives as this laptop has the capacity for

On a couple support forums for apps that really need 32G RAM and ample mass storage

there are users struggling to work in 6GB RAM and small SSD's due to long delivery times

for laptops, SSD's, and memory. It is possible they are stuck buying thru their institution's

purchasing dept., or are in locations where supply chains have been disrupted.

 

In case anyone is interested:

The laptop would not install from a DVD, so I used a usb memory stick and made it bootable with the Fedora Live iso:

# dd if=/home/kevink/Downloads/ISO/Fedora-KDE-Live-x86_64-33-1.2.iso of=/dev/sdb bs=8M

I had to go into the bios and change the following:

- disable secure boot

I read that suggestion in reports for installs of other distros, but

Fedora boots on other vendor's secure boot configurations (I

have Fedora 33 on a Dell using secure boot).

 

- make the usb memory stick the first boot device

- disable the windows boot device (this is key, otherwise the laptop would not boot from anything but windows)

That could be Windows' "fastboot" configuration, which I gather is another

name for hibernation, so the normal boot process is bypassed. 

At this point the laptop boots the Fedora install and the rest is standard

Have you used a wired network dongle?  Wire is needed for workplaces that

don't allow wifi (assuming a new laptop needs to last until people can

return to their workplaces)?
