Hello,
I can compare 2 machines (fedora 32).
One of them (laptop) never boot improperly,
grub displays the boot options and the elapsed time, and finally it boots automatically on the right system.
The other one, occasionally does not boot automatically at all.
The elapsed time is not displayed, and it does not boot automatically.
The only option is to force the boot manually.
Would you see a reason for this behavior?
Are both systems using UEFI? Different models have different firmware (BIOS+UEFI). Is the firmware
up to date? What happens when booting the same live media on both systems?
If you decide the difference is with the Fedora installations, look for differences in the boot configurations of the two installations.
