Since I sent this, the behavior has been consistent: auto-rotation doesn't work in Wayland and the rotation lock icon in the system menu doesn't appear. I can rotate the screen manually in the Display Settings. In Xorg, everything works fine--the screen auto-rotates and the rotation lock icon appears and functions correctly. Any clues?
