I have been happily using Xfce4 for some time. I have been simply upgrading for a while but if I were going to reinstall I would go one of two routes...

1. Use the Netinstall image and select Xfce4.
2. Download the Xfce4 spin.

I lean toward the Netinstall image since they are smaller. But the spins are great since you can boot to something else that you might want to look at before deciding which to go with.
