Asking the obvious questions: Are you restarting the named service after you've made changes to configuration and zone record files? You should be increasing the serial numbers any time you change anything in their zone files. Although you could expect things to read current zone files every time you directly query your server, not changing the serial number does indicate that there's no need to purge previously cached results. When you're doing tests of internal and external views, are you making the request from internal IPs and external IPs where appropriate? You need to be careful when making queries from a machine which has internal and external addresses on its ports. -- uname -rsvp Linux 3.10.0-1160.6.1.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Nov 17 13:59:11 UTC 2020 x86_64 Boilerplate: All unexpected mail to my mailbox is automatically deleted.
