reverse path filtering is on by default, and in that configuration the system will only accept incoming traffic if a reply would go out the same interface.

You can disable rp_filter to accept incoming traffic on multiple interfaces, but that's not necessarily a good idea.  If you're trying to increase bandwidth to the system, for example, this configuration won't do that.  All of your outbound traffic is still going to go out one interface.

We can probably give you a better solution if you can describe why you'd have multiple interfaces with different addresses on the same network segment.
