Sometimes my printer enters into a "Paused" state, and this is how I fix it:
In a browser window address bar: localhost:631
CUPs appears. Select "Administration" from the top menu bar
Click the button for "Manage Printers"
Select the affected printer
It should display the printer status, in my case: "Officejet (Paused, Accepting Jobs, Not Shared)"
Select the "Maintenance" drop down and click "Resume Printer"
You may be asked to login with a user with sufficient privileges, yourself or root.
if it's a good day, it should say "Printer OfficeJet has been resumed."

HP printer. First time printing since unsuspending Sat night, but
printed fine Friday.
Output is just pending in the print queue.
I did a 'systemctl restart cups'
and no change.
I can print fine from another computer, so how do I troubleshoot this
and fix it? Other than a reboot?
thanks
