Hi! It seem that thunderbird-78.3.1-1.fc32.x86_64 is broken, meaning that cannot connect and sync IMAP accounts.. as soon as i downgrade to thunderbird-68.6.0-1.fc32.x86_64 everythings works again without problems.

Nobody noticed this so far?

No problems here.  Connecting to google's imap servers.

I don't think it could be an issue for you, but with the update to t-bird 78 many extensions/addons are no longer compatible.  Folks upgrading should double check to see if their favorite extension is still supported and/or
needs updating.
So, i have no extensions. Moreover i just updated my desktop f31 and the same happened, the IMAP accounts are no longer accessible (with the exception of google that still worked) The two other accounts are from different servers (cern and my institution) and exhibit the same behavior : IMAP cannot be accessed (but no error is shown). SMTP works

So.. i was looking for a way to enable a debug or verbose flag and i found none .. how can i see what is actually happening with those IMAP
accounts?

Can you verify that using the "Config Editor" to change security.tls.version.min to 1 does not fix the problem?
Yes, i can confirm that this solved
I set to 1 both security.tls.version.fallback-limit and security.tls.version.min

and now i can access the accounts ...

Unfortunately the servers cannot be fixed as for CERN until they migrate off the exchange this cannot be solved, for the other server it is a Dovecot on centos 7 so with the old openssl

Thanks a lot!!
Adrian
