If I'm running qBittorrent and try to log out with Ctrl-Alt-Del, or by using the DE's menu, I get this message. It doesn't matter if qBT is actually doing anything at the time. I have to manually quit the program before these logout methods will work. I'm running KDE and previously asked this question on the Fedora KDE list (back in May) but got no replies. Previous versions of Fedora never did this. Is there some magic setting somewhere that I can turn off? It only ever happens with qBT but there doesn't seem to be an in-program setting to control it. I even asked on the qBT user's forum and again got no replies.
Found something "interesting". I installed qbittorrent in a VM. I started it. And attempted to logout. I got the message you've shown. (errata) Just as a test I did "qdbus org.kde.ksmserver /KSMServer logout 0 0 2" and this forced a logout. I was going to suggest you make a desktop icon to do that. But on login one gets a message about an application terminating unexpectedly. (Not 100% sure it is related). (\errta) Anyway, in the qbittorent I then unchecked "Show qBittorent in notification area". After this, the logout worked as expected. Then, logged in again and rechecked the box. The logout still worked as expected. For completeness I did.... rm -rf /home/egreshko/.cache/qBittorrent /home/egreshko/.config/qBittorrent /home/egreshko/.local/share/data/qBittorrent And again got the "canceled" message. Repeated the procedure and it worked again. Able to logout even with qBittorrent in the notification area. Hope this incantation works for you. _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
