Thanks, would it not matter if there is a combination of files in the two folders? I don't know, that is why I am asking.

There is one approach and that is set LD_PRELOAD to set the hostname as localhost.localdomain from this example in:  https://catonmat.net/simple-ld-preload-tutorial

But if it does not matter, then I do not need to worry at all.
