Anyone know of a good quality (not star tech) parallel

Why not Startech? I've never had a problem with their products.
Anyway, I would expect any USB to parallel adapter to work fine.
Hi Sam,
I do sell a lot of Star Tech stuff. They have a nice broad
offering. And their tech support is excellent. I sell
a lot of their "gizmos" and cables and adapters.
Where they fall down is two fold:
1) if you discover an issue with their products, such
as a mechanical interference, they WILL NOT fix the issue
2) their adapter cards are poor quality, especially
their USB cards. Their parallel port cards do work
adequately in Windows and so-so in Linux. I do
believe that they are just re-banding OEM cards from
another supplier and they are not their own designs.
What I have discovered in the years of doing this is
that just because a company does one thing well, it
does not mean everything they do is also well. With
Star Tech, just be careful of their adapter cards.
The rest of their stuff is excellent. And don't
expect them to take any customer requests or
feedback.
