I was using a somewhat fancy SanDisk Cruzer Glide 3.0.
Glad you got past the problem.
There is something funny about that model. Amazon reviews report
highly variable speeds and some devices don't recognize it. One
suggestion was that SanDisk Cruzer Glide 3.0. power draw was
above spec.
Due to your advice I used an older USB2-only stick which worked ok.
I would not hurry to blame the new stick. Maybe the P1 circuitry, or the Fedora USB3 driver are the dodgy ones?
Lots of Fedora systems (this one included) rely on USB3 external drives and don't have problems.
