The reason it's there is because in order to change the page format you
have to start a new page. And it's not really there anyway. The actual
landscape setting is part of the style. Format->Page modifies the page
settings for the currently active style. If you switch to the
"Landscape" style, then Format->Page will show that you are in
landscape. I guess you have to understand that LO operates at a higher
level than just basic typing. You can do that, but you shouldn't, at
least if you're writing something more than just a really basic memo. If
you use styles properly, then you can make global layout and formatting
changes easily.
True. And since when do I need to be a rocket scientist to figure out.
That is the issue. It should be in page format,
period. I should not have to learn" what is under the hood to
be able to use the thing.
Oh and on what planet is the orientation of the page
a "paragraph" format?
