Not likely to be related to PostgreSQL. The hostname can be picked up from DHCP if it's set there. Or if you want to set it to a fixed name, use "hostnamectl". "man hostnamectl" for instructions. Or if you're using Gnome, it's in the Details->About section of the settings.
