Definitely not what I asked, I already have w10 installed just fine from an ISO -- but now trying to install other software from a DVD (wait, what year is this??) But seriously, I want to forward the optical drive to windows, I should be able to do that..
Hi Konstantin, So, again not what you asked, but that does not stop me! What me goes off on a tangent???? NEVER! Well, maybe. If you or the guys don't figure this out, here is a work around. Make an iso of your DVD/CD and mount it as a CD-ROM in virt-mamager: # dd if=/dev/sr0 of=[path]/[name].iso Speaking of software from 1865, I still use the abandoned Lotus Approach and Lotus WordPro. Both run better under Wine than does Libre Office, especially envelope printing and tables. So, I made an ISO out of my CD and have it copied several places for safe keeping. If I need it, I can mount the ISO as a CD-ROM in virt-manager.
