When I run
/usr/bin/gnome-terminal

I get:
# _g_io_module_get_default: Found default implementation local (GLocalVfs) for ‘gio-vfs’
# posix_spawn avoided (fd close requested)
# Error constructing proxy for org.gnome.Terminal:/org/gnome/Terminal/Factory0: Failed to execute child process “dbus-launch” (No such file or directory)

Is gnome-terminal launching? Does it work?
Yes,
Yes

Then there's nothing wrong. You're not intended to run it from the terminal, so normally you wouldn't see those messages. I assume it's some side effect from running it remotely as appears to be the case from the other thread of messages.
