For the record, when you are looking for a particular file, you have to prepend '*/', i.e.
# dnf repoquery --whatprovides '*/lgrenc.def'

Since pretty much every search for a file requires this, I don't know why they don't just automatically try the wildcard search, but they don't, so you have to specify it..
