I saw that but decided to go with the older version, as I was using
older versions of everything else, and had more likelihood of
compatibility with the older version.  And it has been the same version
for several years, just being rebuilt during mass rebuild of rawhide.
The sure sign of a package that is either no longer developed or no
longer maintained.  No longer developed or maintained doesn't mean it no
longer works, just that it is subject to failure if things around it
change because they are being developed and maintained.
