The *original* post of this thread, from Robert, which I replied to,
referred to mail from yahoo: "Sometime in early April the mailserver on
yahoo.com started sending much of the list entries to spam."

My comment was about Yahoo getting worse at classifying spam, and you
can't adjust it's behaviour, nor disable it.  In my case, I see it
diverts what it thinks is spam to its own spam folder, which I can only
access through their website.  When my fetchmail poll drags in yahoo
mail, it only drags in what's left in the inbox.

I presume Yahoo may also add spam rating headings to mail, and
Thunderbird may be looking at them.  Or maybe Thunderbird gets its spam
detection clues from a common source.

Unfortunately, out of the many "this is spam" clues, one of them is a
lot of messages from one source.  List mail servers can't avoid that
behaviour.
