I just tried it and it worked fine, no colors.  You can also set it in
your dnf.conf file.  See "man dnf.conf" for details.  You can adjust the
colors there as well if that's your concern.

	Well, I read "[MAIN] OPTIONS - COLORS" there (which I assume you
mean); but I don't see how to get back to what I use, which is admittedly
a little complicated. Please bear with me.

So are you trying to stop dnf from using colors or are you wanting to set your own? To stop it, add "color=never" to /etc/dnf/dnf.conf. If you want to change the colors it uses, then look in the man page for the options. e.g. "color_list_available_install"
