OK, my bad.

Looks as if "fedup" was last used on F23.

So, you can "brave" a dnf upgrade in the usual manner.

FWIW, your mileage may vary since there may have been significant changes in the desktop you're using
and the user specific config files aren't checked/updated.  So, you may run into issues with that.
