I apologize for this OT question but I have just finished recording an hour-long masterpiece for my class. However, the volume appears to be really low. I don't know why this happened, but long story short, I really do not want to do this again, so I was wondering is there any software on Fedora 31 that will allow me to edit the mp4 to increase the volume. I doubt that this is that easy, but I still thought that I would give it a try.
Many thanks again for your suggestions, and best wishes,
Not really OT since it is a question about usage of utilities under fedora.
I'm sure there are command line options. However, I've been using HandBrake from rpmfusion quite
a bit to add Chinese subtitles to movies for friends and family.
One of the options when doing this is in the audio area to up the gain. I've used this option and it has
served me well.
If you have to increase the gain significantly, the SSN--signal to noise ratio--is likely to take a beating. Try it and
see. --doug
