I have been trying to configure an asus RT-N66U router to work with a

31? Did that with dnf but it looks like I created an smb server, I think
that is already part of the router? I set up a router and USB drive in
the past with an older version of Fedora and it just worked, not so now.
I would like to have another way to save stuff on my LAN that will be
convenient for the Apple users and me to use. I guess I am looking for
some help from anyone familiar with this. Perhaps I should just buy aWD
NAS unit?

Hi Bob,
This should help you out in the right direction:
You might just have to tweak the settings until you get it working.
Also a quick search on this particular router revealed a very painful time for people using 'special characters' in their passwords. It doesn't like them. So at least to start with use simple passwords to start with.
when browsing in most file browsers on linux you should be able to use smb://servername/share
cheers
Ant.
