Hello,
On a machine I can ssh -X and run xclock for example, but
sudo system-config-users
gives
(process:5034): Gtk-WARNING **: 14:59:07.212: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback 'C' locale.
X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication.
system-config-users requires a currently running X server.
GtkWarning: 'could not open display'
Is there a solution?
Either become a maintainer and fix system-config-users find another GUI tool.
bugzilla says:
This package was removed from Fedora [31] as there was no active maintainer and the code failed to build (bug 1676111). If you like to see this package in Fedora please consider becoming a Fedora maintainer. See https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Orphaned_package_that_need_new_maintainers#Claiming_Ownership_of_a_Retired_Package for further information.
For decades I have been using simple scripts calling commnd-line tools (e.g., useradd on Fedora 31)
with arguments customized for the user id's, groups, etc. defined for a particular site. This has worked
for me on Sun, SGI, NeXT, RHEL, Debian, Gentoo, Fedora, Ubunto, Mint, and others.
Thanks
