Thanks, I have tried all the different login options. I received the
grey screen, no matter what. If nouveau is crashing, who do I report it
to ? Fedora Bugzilla ?

The primary display may be running Wayland and not Xorg.
Which I why I suggested disabling Wayland in GDM. Of course I am
assuming you're using gdm/GNOME.
