If you turn off rhgb and quiet on the kernel boot line, you can (usually) watch lots of messages on the console as it tries to shutdown and see things like: A start job is running for shutting down some stupid service stuck on the screen with a timer ticking away. Example: I found dhcpd won't stop in fedora 31 without a huge timeout: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1768604 (supposedly fixed, but not yet in updates). _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
