Hi All,

What am I doing wrong here?

# gunzip DeadStick.FC30_2019-09-06.dd.gz | dd status=progress bs=4096 of=/dev/sdb
0+0 records in
0+0 records out
0 bytes copied, 176.897 s, 0.0 kB/s

From the gunzip man page.....

       -c --stdout --to-stdout
Write  output  on standard output; keep original files unchanged.
If there are several  input  files,  the  output consists  of  a
sequence  of  independently  compressed members. To obtain better
compression, concatenate all input files before compressing them.

If simple questions can be answered with a simple google query then why are there so many of them?
