Are you using the google/chrome repository at:

 http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/rpm/stable/x86_64

it's at 76.

All my desktops are centos-7, so I can't swear that this will work with centos-6.

By the way, the current release of centos-6 is .10, so your .5 machine is rather out of date.

Hi Ed.

For centos6.5 (which I think is pretty close to EOL) the current
version is the latest in the repos.

I might have to recheck this to be sure.

I have to ask.  Why can't you upgrade to the latest chrome?
Current is 76.0.3809.100, so what you have is exceedingly old.
