I agree with the other problems, especially if you have to unplug and read it on another system. I've never seen any really good reason to use it, anywhere. I'm not sure if it gives you an easy way to have more partitions beyond the usual drive handling limits (e.g. one for this install, keep the prior, space for the next release).
