Haven't had time to really look yet, but wondering if anyone else has
run across this?
Are you using the proprietary NVidia driver? With the kernel version
that isn't working, login on a console and run "sudo journalctl -b".
See if you can find any relevant messages.
Kindly do NOT hijack threads. Your message
is completely unrelated to the one you are replying to, and changing the

Also, Thanks Patrick O'Callaghan for so kindly informing me of how to
ask for help on this user list. Last time I asked for help I was 2
versions behind on the OS and I got roasted because the OS version was
too old. Maybe I should try Ubuntu.
He wasn't rude and that wasn't a roast. It's as much for your benefit
as everyone else. If you reply to an unrelated thread, most threaded
email clients will hide your message at the bottom of that thread. Most
people will probably not even see your email because they're not
interested in that thread topic. You picked a particularly bad one in
this case since it was a discussion about Windows. :-)
