Profile?! What profile?? Where is it?? And HOW do you transfer it
to the new device?? It sounds like the "better way" I'm looking for!
The profile for Thunderbird should be at a location similar to
~/.thunderbird/xyzzzy.default
check out Thunderbird Edit> Account Settings and look at the "Local
Directory" settings (typically) and it should give you the path, I believe.
If I to reinstall and that is rarely, I have a backup of all my files
and configs. The configs are in your home folder but hidden, with a dot
before the file name. You have to enable hidden files from your file
manager. Then you can see them.
