Reading the documentation, you will notice is "runs" under both
Linux and Windows, but only creates Fedora images.
That may be the intended purpose but I have used it for both System
Rescue CD and Bodhi Linux live systems and it worked fine.

As far as I can tell, if it works with dd, it works with media writer
