Good morning,
After upgrading from F27 to F28, when booting up, I get a quickly
disappearing set of error messages just before the grub menu shows up.
Then the grub menu shows up in a very small gray font. The error
messages disappear too quickly for me to get the full text of them. But
by (re-)booting many times, I've been able to get this much:
(4 lines like ...)
error: file '/grub2/themes/system/[something]' not found.
(a 5th line ...)
Press any key to continue...
The grub menu itself is difficult to read, partly because the font is so
small (one pixel shorter in height and I would need a magnifying glass),
partly because the text color is gray (white would be better). Most of
the grub menu shows up in the upper left corner of the left monitor.
The last line shows up in the lower left corner of the left monitor.
This problem definitely started with the upgrade to F28. What happened?
How do I get this downsized menu back to a bigger, whiter font, with the
whole thing together rather than split between upper and lower corners?
By the way, I cannot find a "/grub2" directory.
It seems downsizing is no longer limited to companies trying to increase
product prices in sneaky ways.
thanks,
Bill.
