I was originally looking at the WD Black, for which there were some controller issues found by googling... But there was a huge price drop on the Samsung. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't trading one problem for another...

Hi Richard,

I use the 960 and 970 all the time in customer machines I build.
I have no issues in either the Fedora or Windows 10 world.
They are very reliable and faster than ...

Make sure you size the unit such that at least half of the drive will
be empty.  This greatly assists with the wear leveling mechanism
on the drive itself.
